National Park Kanha is also known as Tiger Reserve, this beautiful park is spread up to the area of Mandla and Balaghat. Kanha National Park is spread over 940 square kilometers between the Maikal range of hills. History of Kanha National Park.

Kanha National Park was declared a reserve forest in 1879 and in 1933 this beautiful forest was declared a wildlife sanctuary. However, even after this, Kanha had to wait 22 years to become a national park, and finally, in the year 1955, it was declared a National Park by that time's government.

As of today's date, Kanha National Park is known as the most picturesque wildlife sanctuary in Asia.

Via Road: One can easily get regular buses from Balaghat district headquarters to the gate of Kanha National Park.
