History of Jim Corbett.
Named after the legendary tiger hunter and later naturalist Jim Corbett, this park is the first national park in India. Jim Corbett, present in Uttarakhand, was established in 1936. At that time the park was named Hailey National Park. However, after about 19 years, in 1955, the name of this park was changed to Jim Corbett and it was given the status of National Park. The purpose of naming the park Jim Corbett is said to be a tribute to the naturalist Jim Corbett, who had contributed greatly to the conservation of wildlife. After this, in 1974, the park was finally declared a Tiger Reserve under Project Tiger.

If you stay in Ramnagar then you can reach the Bijrani zone by traveling just 1 kilometer. During the Wildlife Safari in this zone, you can feel the amazing beauty of the forest and can capture it on your camera.
Jhirna Zone.
Jhirna Safari is a little far from Ramnagar as compared to other zones, however, if you want to see the bears present in the park then you must visit the Jhirna zone as you will easily spot bears here.
Dhikala Zone.
You must visit here to enjoy the biodiversity present in Dhikala Zone. There are several resorts to stay here including Riverside by Aahma, Tarangi Jim Corbett Resort, and Spa, The Den Corbett, etc. While staying in these resorts, you can wake up early in the morning and capture the beautiful scenery of the forest here on your camera.
Durga Devi Zone.
If you are a bird lover then Durga Devi Zone is a better spot for you as you will get to see different species of birds here.
How to reach Jim Corbett?
There are three modes available for you to reach Jim Corbett:
Airplane: The airplane is a better choice for tourists coming from far areas of the country. To reach Jim Corbett from the domestic airport, you have to cover a distance of 50 km. You can take a taxi or a cab from this airport to reach the park.
Train: To reach Jim Corbett by Train You can travel from Delhi to Moradabad by train and then from there you can reach Ramnagar by taxi or bus. Within about 1 hour you will reach Ramnagar. Let me tell you that from here the park is only 12 km away.
Bus: You can also travel to Jim Corbett by bus. For this, you have to take a bus from Delhi, Haridwar or Nainital to Ramnagar and then from there, you can reach the park by taxi or bus.
